It’s week 4 of the 2026 Pantone Quilt Challenge! If you’re just learning about the challenge or need a reminder:
- General info and rules are here.
- No judges or prizes this year, but you’ll be eligible for a woven quilt label — and we welcome donations to help offset the cost of those labels.
- Follow @pantonequiltchallenge, @bysarahruiz, and @cottonandbourbon on Instagram for more challenge fun.
All participants are free to work at their own pace, and the link-up will be open April 20-27. If you need some additional prodding and/or motivation, we’ve laid out a handy schedule for you!

Week 4 – Construction Zone
If you are following our timeline, this week is all about getting started on construction of your quilt or quilted item! Are you piecing everything together? Or does applique fit your vision better? Maybe paper piecing — English or foundation — is right up your alley this year? Give us a peek at your work-in-progress, and if you have tips or tricks to share we’d love to hear those too!
Share your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram by tagging us @pantonequiltchallenge and using our challenge hashtag #PantoneQuiltChallenge2026.
Week 3 Highlights
Audrey and I loved seeing so many of you cutting into your fabric last week — it’s so exciting to be getting started on the actual sewing part after considering your designs! Here are a few that caught our eye. Click on any photo to head over to each maker’s Instagram feed.
