Welcome to this week’s stop on the Shades of Gray & a Pop of Color tour and my block — Summits!
Gray is the perfect color for a mountain range — think misty ridgelines, weathered rock, and peaks fading into the clouds. I used a range of grays to create a sense of depth, and the two color accents make me think of light shining on the edges of the peaks. Summits is a 6″ foundation paper pieced block, but it’s beginner-friendly, which means all of your mountain peaks look precise with no fussy seams to match. Hooray!
