I’m about a month late with this quarterly post, so let’s jump right into it shall we? First, a wrap-up of my goals for spring, and I’m pretty happy with what I accomplished on top of the end-of-school madness, another work trip to Long Beach…and a lot of soccer watching during the World Cup. (Priorities!)
- Wrap up this year’s Pantone Quilt Challenge. Done!
- Make each month’s Quilts Unscripted Bee block. Done!
- Work on my Telescope Views group quilt. I didn’t touch this one, but I did pick up a different group quilt.
- Finish 1 UFO. Done!
- Release 1 new pattern. Not done, but I made really good progress.
- Also done:
- Released 3 new postcard/mini block patterns.
- Made a Hawaiian applique pillow.
- Finished a cross stitch piece I’d been stitching on-and-off for a year or more.
- Continued working on another cross stitch piece.
- Made binding spools!
- Took a workshop with a local guild.
- Made a block for Audrey’s group quilt.
- A bunch of tech editing.

My “summer quarter” is already 1/3 done, and the girls’ summer break is nearly over, but I’m setting a few goals for the next couple months nonetheless. I’m playing along with Sarah Hearts’ WIPGO — here’s my game board — and it’s been a great way to make progress on several miscellaneous projects without the pressure of finishing.
Between now and the beginning of October, I’m hoping to:
- Complete my WIPGO board. I’m a week behind since we were on vacation last week, so I’m on week 3/project #7 aka a cross stitch project.
- Make each month’s Quilts Unscripted Bee block. The July prompt is waiting for me.
- Finish my Snake Trail group quilt. This is the one I picked up instead of Telescope Views and I’m excited about it.
- Finish 1 UFO. My Astros and Texans pillows are the project I have in mind for this one.
- Release 1 new pattern. Double Decker Checker is alllmost ready for release.
- Start a QC2027 fabric challenge quilt. First step — figure out a design!
Happy summer!
