Ah, October! One of my favorite months, QuiltCon deadline season, and much more. I’m excited about the projects currently on my to-do list, but first, a wrap-up of my goals for summer:
- Complete my WIPGO board. Done!
- Make each month’s Quilts Unscripted Bee block. I completed July and August and will be making September’s block this week.
- Finish my Snake Trail group quilt. Made a few blocks but haven’t finished it yet, mainly because I made Diamond Stripe instead.
- Finish 1 UFO. Done! I finished Cupola Views last week and just haven’t posted it yet.
- Release 1 new pattern. Done!
- Start a QC2027 fabric challenge quilt. Done! I settled on a design and pieced the top.
- Also done:
- Released 3 new postcard/mini block patterns.
- Continued working on a cross stitch piece.
- Started a crochet square sampler.
- Spent a few hours at the first h+h trade show held in Houston.
- A bunch of tech editing.

I’m feeling motivated to finish up a few more larger quilts this fall…but with all the smaller projects I played with over the summer, I’ve let things pile up (literally) and the disarray in my sewing room is a big distraction at the moment. By the end of 2026, I’m hoping to:
- Clean up my sewing room and re-home any supplies and fabric I no longer need or use.
- Finish my QuiltCon fabric challenge entry. I just loaded it on my longarm yesterday.
- Finish my Snake Trail group quilt. I am hoping to have this done by the QuiltCon deadline as well, but there’s probably a 50/50 chance of that happening.
- Make each month’s Quilts Unscripted Bee block.
- Finish 1 UFO. This would make 4 UFO finishes for the year which is pretty respectable I think!
- Release 1 new pattern. I’ll be releasing Double Decker Checker in November.
Happy fall y’all!
